Island of the SunIts been over 2 yrs i dont go to a tropical destination. It sucks to go to one during the summer months since they are mainly sick( by tropical storms and hurricane) specially during the month of August.TAKE NOTE!! 
If you get the chance go to a place or city\town thats not so tourist oriented for a few days, book a hotel by the beach, maybe it wont be like a 5+ star resort but it has its perks.. like having a beach to your self :)

The good feeling of being home and wearing bright coloured pretty dresses.
Dont leave out the traffic with its "autobuses" carrying double capacity.
If your are not too picky you should definitely try the food being sold by the locals in the public beaches they have that authentic fresh taste from the sea(fish).

Dont forget to drink drink..i suggest rum based drinks since caribbean rum is mighty good.
And last but not least Smile like a fool and pose while entering your favorite Kite Surfing beach!!
why sit on a chair get your bum in the sand..it works as an exfoliant..
